Sorry this sat unanswered. Two separate things were in play.
1. The app could look ready before it was. After you open vpn.free it needs several seconds to bring up the secure tunnel, and Go was fully enabled that whole time. Pressing it inside that window did nothing useful — and in the worst case produced an error telling you to try a different browser, which was simply wrong: it was our start-up not being finished, not your browser. Fixed and live: a page requested during start-up is queued and opens as soon as the tunnel is up, with a timeout so it can never sit there forever.
2. Some sites refuse our servers. We exit from datacenter addresses, and several of the biggest sites throttle or block those ranges — the page then fails or comes back empty however often you retry, and reloading repeatedly makes rate-limiting worse rather than better. That is the site’s decision and not something we can patch away. The practical workaround is to switch the server location in the app, which changes the exit address the site sees.
If a specific site never loads for you from any server location, say so here — that pattern is worth knowing.
